Yay! Another Kyjen Toy Review and Giveaway!
I swear that the Gang of Four just knows whenever a new toy arrives from Kyjen®. Even before I can get the box open, they all swarm around me and dance with anticipation. As soon as the new toy is unveiled, either Dinah or Seamus (and sometimes both) will leap up and make off with the new treasure.
Our latest test toy is the Kyjen Ginormous Invincible Snake. When I pulled it out of the box, Seamus wasted no time in laying claim to it…
Just in case you’re wondering how big this thing really is, Seamus is a 55-pound, standard-sized male Bearded Collie, and watching him trying to romp around the yard with it clamped in his jaws was just plain hilarious. The Kyjen Ginormous Invincible Snake is nearly as long as I am tall (5 feet 6 inches) and contains no fewer than a dozen squeakers from head to tail. Like all the toys in the Invincibles line, this one is free of stuffing and contains the patented Kyjen squeakers that keep on squeaking even after being punctured. If your dog loves his/her squeakers and you love well-made toys that can stand up to some rowdy play, then this line is for you! (The snakes also come in 3-squeaker and 6-squeaker models, so dogs of all sizes can join in the fun.)
You can find the Ginormous toys and other Kyjen products at many pet retailers. Use the handy Store Finder to see the retailers closest to you. If you don’t have a local pet supply store, you can use the Kyjen Shop.
And Now, the Giveaway!
Those kind folks over at Kyjen are just waiting to see who wins this Ginormous toy…
The Kyjen Ginormous Gator Squeaker Mat measures 50″ tall (that’s 4 feet, 2 inches, or 127 cm for metric-speakers!). This baby features 2-by-2 rows of squeakers for twice the fun in every chomp!
You know your dog wants this gator! All you have to do to enter the drawing is to follow all the usual Wicked Simple Rules…
Wicked Simple Rules
- If you haven’t already done so already, Like Kyjen’s Facebook page.
- Visit the Kyjen website and tell me in a comment what else your dog would like for a holiday gift in addition to the Ginormous Gator.
- Please comment on the blog. Much as we love them, comments on Facebook don’t count.
- If you’re not already a fan of Shaggy Dog Stories on Facebook, now would be a good time to show us some love, or at least some Like.
Entries will close on Sunday, December 18. As usual, the winner will be chosen at random by comment number. We’ve graduated to an automated random-number-picking program, so humans don’t even have to get involved.
Best of luck, and remember: the dog who runs around with the most squeakers wins!

Done and done. Checking out the Kyjen site, the Horde (well, Georgia) would like either the Paw Flapper or Kibble Drop puzzles. Oh wait, Georgia says she wants BOTH.

Ohhh….these ginormous toys are WAY COOL! Bracey and Joby were SO JEALOUS when they saw the picture of Seamus with one!!! They enjoyed looking at the Kyjen website and said that they REALLY want one of those large instinct nesting beds! Oh..and they said…pick us…pick us…to win:-)
I LOVE these toys. Gordon Setters love to play rough with their toys. I have one of the 3 squeak snakes that I bought months ago and it’s still intact. (and popular). I think my furkids would love to have the Ginormous toy for team play, or the 2 squeak Gecko to carry around 24/7.
Oh My! I missed those beds! That would be fabulous near the wood stove for my geriatric guys!

Gusto and Atom would so the the big toys. Looking at the website… I am loving the games and puzzles!
Rain wants the small seamsters football so he can get as excited on Sundays as the rest of the family, and Kido wants the Invincible Mini dog or duck she loves little toys, sometimes too much. The paw flapper might finally get Chaos interested in toys, she has way too strong a work ethic. We all think Qi looks like the mini squeaker mat mallard. Jugalo thinks a large instinct nesting bed looks grand. Of course, Kido would likely steal it!
I think we need one of those fire hose toys that you can throw! These guys LOVE to chase and since you can also chew on it, two toys in one!
